Eternal Emerald

The Eternal Emerald collection draws inspiration from One Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains《千里江山图》, the legendary landscape painted by Wang Ximeng in the early 12th century during the Northern Song dynasty. Created when the artist was just eighteen years old, the monumental handscroll stretches over eleven meters and is widely regarded as one of the greatest achievements in the history of Chinese painting. Today, it is preserved in the Palace Museum in Beijing as one of China's most treasured cultural masterpieces.

More than a breathtaking landscape, One Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains embodies an enduring vision of harmony between humanity and nature. Rather than reproducing the original painting, Ekin reimagines its spirit through the proprietary Gold Kesi technique. Inspired by the layered textures of traditional kesi tapestry, thousands of intricate precious metal "stitches" create a richly textured surface that shifts with light. Gold, silver, and carefully calibrated color are built into successive layers, allowing the landscape to emerge with remarkable depth, luminosity, and tactile presence. Each piece preserves the rhythm and delicacy of textile craftsmanship while expressing it through an entirely contemporary material language.
